Welcome to Piedmont Classical High School's English Department! I teach English 9, Honors English 11, and Rhetoric. I have both of my undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from UNCG and have worked in the field of education for more than a decade.
You can access this website to find my class syllabi, located in each class section's tab. Please familiarize yourself with PowerSchool and check it frequently. Grades are updated weekly with the exception of essays, which may take longer to grade. Questions about assignments and grades can be directed to me via email. ~~~ “The moon erased the stars; the whole sky was a granular mist of silver. The moon spread about itself like a threshing machine sending up dust in the wheat field; and the moon itself was larger and closer than the barn. My father and I bent our heads to duck below it, and once it scraped my head as I went underneath and knocked off my blue wool cap. I picked it up and brushed at the hard silver moon-mist that was colder than the frost, colder than icicles. My fingers twitched with sparkling fire.” –from Brighten the Corner Where You Are, Fred Chappell |
